About real leather
Crazy horse carries a heavy surface wax. Fold it and the crease goes pale; run a thumb over it and the colour comes back. Variation between hides is the material, not a defect.
Care
Keep it dry and out of direct sun. Buff marks with a dry cloth. A neutral leather balm once or twice a year is enough.
