Eight watches sit in removable cushions on the top tray. Underneath the tray there is a second compartment — flat, lined, and invisible with the tray in place. Papers, documents, the things that travel with a collection and never have anywhere to go.
Named after Perugia, where a fortress was built straight over the medieval town and left whole streets buried under it. This box works the same way: what you see is not all of it.
