The name is from Fermo, in the Marche — the region that has quietly supplied Italian luxury with its leatherwork for generations. Not a fashion capital. A workshop one.

About real leather

Nubuck is hide sanded on the grain side to raise a fine nap. It is soft to the hand and it marks — a fingerprint shows, then settles. That is the material working, and it is why a nubuck case looks lived-in after a year of travel instead of looking new and unused.

Care

Brush along the nap with a soft brush to lift dust and even out marks. Keep it dry — nubuck absorbs readily. No polish, no conditioner: both flatten the nap that makes it nubuck.
